Dharmakaya Retreat Center
The Dharmakaya Retreat Center (formerly "UTBF Retreat Center") is located in Cochecton, NY about 2.5 hours north of NYC. The property was bought in 2002 to provide a quiet place for individual and group retreats. The Center is on 38 beautiful acres and has an old farmhouse circa 1890 which houses the shrine room, kitchen, study room, bathroom and one guest room. There are 3 retreat cabins on the land, each having a sleeping area and altar for practice. Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche is usually in residence, and guides retreatants in their practice. Green Tara puja is performed daily, and on Sundays there is a Dharma study group and Avalokiteshvara practice. In addition to individual retreats, the Center also hosts teachings, empowerments, and retreat series led by H.E. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche.
For more information on the Retreat Center please see our Retreatant Handbook.
